ART EDUCATION FOR TODDLERS: IT’S NEVER TOO EARLY TO START!

My 3rd grade art teacher, Mrs. Josie Pinkcombe, introduced me to Vincent van Gogh and Starry Night when I was just 8 or 9 years old, and I was instantly enamored. Decades later, this is still my favorite painting.

I remember being in Amsterdam with my dad in my early 20s and insisting on seeing 2 sites: 1) The Anne Frank Museum and 2) The van Gogh museum. He may have questioned and protested, but very soon he began to understand and got pulled in himself. Now it’s my daughter and her school friend’s turn, whose mother @moorethanhappy also loves van Gogh.

Thank you @experiencecurriculum for including these great visuals in your curriculum. The kids may not remember this in years to come like I did as a child, but early exposure is so valuable. It’s never too soon to start something great.
