There’s a lot going on around here today, so last night I prepped a few activities to keep the girls busy today. This one in particular took virtually no prep time and required nothing more than a @dollartree sticker book for each and a hand drawn sweater with some designs. The next thing I knew, my niece was asking to color and cut it out. The girls were entertained for a good 30 minutes and L was very proud of her work. B went scissor happy and cut hers to shreds, but she got some scissor practice in and had fun, so no stress here. 🤷🏻♀️
To modify this, you could try the following:
🎄Roll a dice to determine how many stickers they place on the sweater
🎄Punch holes around the sweater, attach some yarn, and have them “sew” around the sweater
🎄Have them cut along the lines within the sweater and try to piece it back together for a DIY puzzle
🎄Make patterns on the sweater to include more math
🎄Draw and decorate other clothes to dress and elf (requires the drawing of a large elf) and talk about the different kinds of clothes used during each season
Tag, share, and happy holidays to all!
