Recently I saw @montessorifromtheheart post a name recognition activity that I loved using finger paint. Since B had already painted today, I decided to try it with dot stickers instead. I provided her with plenty of color options, named and identified the letters (and colors), discussed which ones had straight lines and which ones had curvy ones, took turns placing dots on the letters in her name, and spent a really pleasant afternoon together with my little girl. 🥰
This activity was low prep and engaging, and I will absolutely try it again with her in a few weeks. Next time, I’ll write the letters in her name farther apart so that they don’t blend together so much.
