PAINTING SANTA’S 🎅 BEARD – A FINE MOTOR AND ART ACTIVITY FOR PRESCHOOLERS

I’d like to tell you that Amazon and Target boxes 📦 don’t find themselves at my home every week or 2, but I’d be lying. And for so long I’ve felt guilty about throwing those boxes out (yes, even when they go into the recycling ♻️ bin), but not today. Today, Santa got a makeover and he’s never looked more fabulous.

Simply draw Santa onto the side of a cardboard box, add paint if you wish, hot glue gun some cotton rounds to his beard, and provide the children with some droppers or pipettes. Then add food coloring to some water, set out the cups, and watch the magic unfold. ✨

There’s nothing quite like watching their reaction every time they made a new color (as in when yellow and blue combine to make green). 🤗 They also got some fine motor practice in by working on their pincer grasp, worked on hand-eye coordination, and color naming. This activity kept them busy and actively engaged for AT LEAST 30 minutes, and they were so proud of their work.

Save, tag #msjessicaisback, share, and enjoy! And if you try it, please let me know how it turns out. 💕
