If you tuned into my stories, it seemed highly unlikely that what I was trying to cook up from a Pinterest recipe could ever amount to anything. But alas, the snow cloud dough was saved!!!Β ππ»
It really lent itself to making our own snowman as in the book, Snowballs by Lois Ehlert. I simply provided a muffin tin of options and B got creative (with a little help from me). I hadnβt anticipated the M&Ms coating transferring onto the snow cloud dough, but her reaction to it was priceless.
If you try it though, Iβd avoid candy that color transfers. I would however recommend coffee beans. When the snowman βmelted,β we had fun counting and hiding the coffee beans in the snow cloud dough and digging them out by any and all means possible (including using toothpicks). If youβre looking for fine motor fun paired with bookish play that could possibly involve math (i.e., counting, how many are left?) this is it. Please tag me if you decide to try it, as your successes with activities I share motivate me in more ways than I can explain.
