Kids can practice their writing skills using their fingers in sand, shaving cream, and (as pictured here) hair gel. Thinking outside the box allows your children to view academic activities as fun. More importantly, they simply see an opportunity to play. As both a parent and a…

Finally, today was the day…

WATER 💦 BEAD LOVE! 💕

If you haven’t discovered water beads yet, welcome to my obsession. Up until this week, I had only bought the multicolored packs (some with fine motor tools included), but there’s a cloud and weather activity I want to do later this week that will require only blue beads (pictured here). I may have also purchased Halloween 🎃 👻 colored water beads for Saturday night’s sensory station. 🙈 But seriously, they…

WASHING OFF THE GERMS: JELLO RESCUE AND TOY BATH STATION

This week we’ve been learning about how to keep our bodies safe, and that includes washing off the germs. So, why not create a sensory and fine motor skills activity around a life skill they’re familiar with: taking a bath? 🛁 Please make sure you do this outdoors 🌴 if you decide to reproduce it. It’s a ton of fun, but also messy. The children will very likely need…
