Why Mother Goose Times?

I want to start off by saying that I make absolutely no money from the company whose curriculum I chose to use for my daughter.  I looked into 10 different ones (and there are many more to choose from), and it’s the only one that really stood out.  It’s research based, aligned to each state’s standards (for FL, it’s aligned to the old standards, in case that’s important to you), appeared simple enough for anyone (with or without teaching experience) to follow, provided the necessary materials for each activity, and is heavy into learning by doing, including a STEM component.  It wasn’t just a bunch of paper and pencil activities for young children, and I have strong opinions on that (more on this subject later). I have a ton of experience teaching children via the use of centers, and this curriculum supports that concept. In short, it’s a FUN and hand-on approach to learning, and I’m all for that.  The add-on religious curriculum (only $10/mo) was a bonus.  And in the interest of transparency, the entire curriculum is crazy reasonable.  Each themed box comes with a month’s worth of activities and materials for about $100.  I can’t buy a pair of rollerblades during quarantine for $100.  Compared to the cost of private school tuition or day care costs, it’s a steal.
