CLOUD ☁️ CUBE MATH ACTIVITY – A LESSON IN ONE-TO-ONE CORRESPONDENCE AND CREATIVITY

When your Dad shows up to school for the first time ever, you sit in his lap while your teacher Mommy melts. 🥰

This activity was a great way to incorporate clouds with math, and even letter making, as B pointed out. The idea was to roll the pocket cube and place the corresponding number of clouds (AKA = cotton balls) onto the picture scene. This kind of activity is great for kids to develop one-to-one correspondence and turn-taking if you have more than one player. B was quick to point out that “cloud” started with Cc, so she decided to make a letter Cc on her picture scene out of cotton balls. Way to go, B!

MATERIALS:
• Cotton balls
• Pocket cube or small box 📦 with picture cards attached
• Picture scene (computer printed or hand drawn)
