PERSPECTIVE

Prior to COVID, a lot of us were spinning our wheels constantly without even pretending to tap the brakes. 🏎 Work, cooking, cleaning, kids’ birthday parties 🎁, social gatherings, after school activities, drop off and pick up, traffic 😤, and finally sleep 🛏 (even though it felt like and often still feels like a nap)…only to wake up the the next day and do it all over again. 😴

Now, I’m not saying I wish our current pandemic on anyone, anywhere, but so long as #wereinthistogether , we may as well make our best effort to tilt our chins towards the sun. ☀️

This madness has taken so much, but it has also given us the opportunity to shift our priorities. In my case, I quit my dream job, pulled my daughter out of preschool, formed a micro schooling pod with @moorethanhappy and were thrilled when @monica._.perez and @janellesofia joined in on the fun. I also started a speech therapy business with the help and support of my husband, @mrleosantos , and am doing my best to live life on my own terms. And some days, that means staying in my pajamas for a lot longer than is likely socially acceptable. Oh well! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do what makes you happy, as often as you can. Life is far too short and unpredictable to wait for “later.” “Later” is a gift disguised as time, which many of us lose track of. Stop being a human doing, and start being a human BEING. You and your family deserve that much. Be happy.
